About us
Welcome to the Santa Clarita Seventh-day Adventist Church. We are a part of a worldwide family of faith known as the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a Christian denomination with over 22 million members in more than 200 countries and territories. United by a shared love for Jesus Christ and a desire to follow His example, we are committed to growing spiritually, serving others, and preparing for Christ’s promised return. The Seventh-day Adventist Church traces its roots to the 19th-century revival movement in North America and was formally established in 1863. Since then, it has become a vibrant global faith community known for its emphasis on Bible truth, wholistic health, education, compassionate service, and the soon return of Jesus.
What We Believe
As Seventh-day Adventists, we believe in:
-
God’s love and grace, revealed through Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again to offer us eternal life.
-
The Bible as the inspired Word of God, our only rule of faith and practice.
-
The Trinity—God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—working together for our salvation.
-
Salvation by grace through faith, not by works, as a gift of God available to all.
-
Observance of the 4th Commandment, the seventh day of the week, Saturday, the Sabbath, a sacred time of rest and worship, established at Creation and affirmed by Jesus.
-
The Second Coming of Christ, which we joyfully anticipate as the ultimate hope for the world.
-
Living a healthy, balanced lifestyle—caring for our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit.
-
The importance of service, education, and community, reflecting God’s love in practical ways.
A Church of Education, Health, and Compassion
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is widely known for its dedication to uplifting communities around the world through practical ministries:
-
Education: Operating over 8,500 schools, colleges, and universities, including Loma Linda University here in Southern California.
-
Healthcare: Managing more than 200 hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities, providing high-quality, faith-based care.
-
Humanitarian work: Through organizations like ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency), we respond to global crises with compassion and aid, regardless of race, religion, or background.
These institutions reflect our belief in a compassionate and involved God who calls us to meet people where they are—physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
Our Local Mission in Santa Clarita
At Santa Clarita Seventh-day Adventist Church, we carry this mission into our local community. We are a diverse and welcoming congregation seeking to love God wholeheartedly, grow in Christ together, and serve our neighbors faithfully. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or looking for a church family to grow with, we invite you to join us. Each Sabbath (Saturday), we gather for Bible study, worship, fellowship, and spiritual renewal. Throughout the week, we engage in ministries that bless families, youth, seniors, and those in need—all in the spirit of Jesus’ example. We are glad you're here. May your experience with us draw you closer to God, bring peace to your heart, and inspire hope for the future.
Our Worship Beliefs
Adventist worship is centered on honoring God through Bible-based teachings, prayer, music, and fellowship. It typically involves a Sabbath service on Saturday, starting with a devotional song service, followed by scripture readings, a sermon, and prayers. Adventists emphasize a personal relationship with God, the observance of the Sabbath, and the importance of community. The worship experience also often includes elements like communion and baptism, highlighting themes of grace, salvation, and the second coming of Christ.
